Donuts!!

I came home one day to find one of my dogs, Macy, racing around the house with a mini powdered donut bag stuck on her head. She’s a Yorkie/Chihuahua mix, just under 2 years old.

Now, I’ll admit, it was pretty tempting to grab a quick picture or even a video before helping her…because it would have been hilarious. But *sigh* I took the high road instead. She was unreasonably distraught and I just couldn’t leave her like that to get what would have undoubtedly been a priceless video.

She’d gotten into the bag from the bottom, even though the top was open, so there was no issue with air supply (neither her air supply, nor the band from the 80’s). Once I caught her and got her head out of the bag, she ran over and cowered in her bed. Poor thing. She’d scared herself pretty severely. I picked her up and snuggled her and her cute little head smelled like powdered donuts. I never really realized they had much of a smell before it was all over her head. Her antics earned her the temporary nickname of Donuts! which lasted a good week or two and still pops up every now and again.

My hope is that the next time I’m running around with a donut bag stuck on my head (proverbial, guys, not literal) that someone will catch me and snuggle me till I feel better. Seems pretty doubtful, though, so maybe I’ll just be proactive and look into hiring a professional snuggler. Is that a thing? Do those exist? If not, they definitely should.
