It’s About To Get Sappy Up In Here

For this post, let me open with my closing lines.

I am grateful for you.

I appreciate you.

I love you guys!

Tomorrow is the release of my first book – Legacy of the Dog. I may have mentioned it in passing. Once or twice, maybe. (Wink, wink. Because really I’ve mentioned it a LOT, but you knew that.) It’s a huge milestone for me. It was 39 months ago that I sat down in front of my computer to try my hand at this writing thing.

People so overflowing with joy that they had to jump in unison in front of a sunset.

People so overflowing with joy that they had to jump in unison in front of a sunset.

Let me tell you, I’ve cried a Lake Michigan of tears between then and now. I lost my confidence about a thousand times. And the last couple of months, especially, have been incredibly difficult. But, bottom line, I’m here. No, make that…we’re here. All of us.

Each one of you is a member of my support system, some part of my network of family and friends, as I hope I am a part of yours. Every one of you has, in some way, been a part of me and, therefore, a part of this thing that’s happening tomorrow.

Don't roll your eyes. I warned you it was going to get sappy.

Don’t roll your eyes. I warned you it was going to get sappy.

You’ve read one of my many posts or you’ve checked out my website. You’ve sent me an uplifting comment or a message to rib me. (There are a lot of jokesters in the bunch.) Maybe you meant to drop me a line, but haven’t yet. That’s okay. I know you’re out there. We’ll talk soon.

Picture yourself frolicking in this meadow.

Picture yourself frolicking in this meadow.

As all the sentimental thoughts run through my brain…about dreams coming true and all that…I keep coming back to you. How much each of you  means to me and how happy I am to have you in my life and how it means a lot to share this moment with you.

So, in all seriousness…

I am grateful for you.

I appreciate you.

I love you guys!

    1. Thank you so much, Shelley! It’s so great to hear from you. We had a lot of classes together and I remember making flowers for a float in your basement. Good times! I really hope you enjoy the book. Stay in touch!
